PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The MIS major gives students an understanding of the importance of information systems as a management tool in the planning, control and decision-making activities of the organization. The program of study introduces students to the concepts and methods of analyzing, designing, planning, and managing simple or complex information systems. It emphasizes the managerial aspects of information systems by providing a solid base of business courses and computer science courses common to the School of Business and Computer Sciences and Technologies.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVE
Upon completion of the Management Information SystemsBachelor Degree Program, students may seek employment in business, government, or a variety of industries where a combination of general business and information technology skills are needed, In addition to the outcomes listed for the School of Business bachelor-level degree program, upon graduation, Management Information Systems students will be able to:
